State Highway
SS 309 Romea from the Adriatic Coast, SS.14 from Trieste, SS.13 from Treviso, SS.11 from Padova. Venice is connected to the mainland by a 4 km. long rail and road bridge over the Venetian lagoon, called Ponte della Libertà (Freedom Bridge).
How to Park and Reach Our B&B
Our B&B is located in downtown Venice, where cars are not allowed.
Parking at Piazzale Roma
There are several car parks at the Venice bus terminal, Piazzale Roma. These are convenient but quite expensive, costing between €25 and €50 per day. You can check prices and locations of the main parking lots [here – insert link].
Parking in Mestre (Mainland Venice)
A more economical option is to park in Mestre, on the mainland, and then take a bus to Venice. For example, there is a parking lot right in front of Mestre train station (Parking Stazione). From there, you can catch bus #2 to Venice Piazzale Roma — the journey takes about 15 minutes.
Cheaper Parking Options
There are also more affordable parkings, such as Park 2000 and Park Terminal, costing about €5 per day. These are located on Via Righi, a street just before the Ponte della Libertà bridge that connects the mainland to Venice.
At about 100 meters from these parking lots, there is a bus stop with buses heading to Venice. The trip to Piazzale Roma takes only 5 minutes. Tickets for the bus can be purchased at the parking lot.
